Poetry in the Parks Artists' Application
Poetry in the Parks is a project sponsored by the town of West Hartford, which seeks to blend poetry and art within the natural environment of our parks
Thanks for your interest in adding your artwork to a pre-built poetry stand for installation in one of West Hartford Parks! Please carefully, and be sure you are willing to work within the GUIDELINES before submitting your application. You can see copies of the poems here.

Poetry in the Parks Artists' Application
Poetry in the Parks is an initiative of Ginny Lowe Connors, West Hartford’s poet laureate. The goal is to blend poetry and art within the natural environment of our parks. We hope to install a series of displays in West Hartford Parks, beginning with Westmoor and Fernridge Parks. Each installation will feature a poem written by a local poet combined with the artistic expression of an artist or group of people from the area. Poems have been selected and will be framed into assembled display stands that are ready for an artist or group to complete. Interested in volunteering to add your artwork to a pre-built poetry stand for this program? Please read the guidelines and fill out an application.
